Prayers for Taylor

This morning the doc called and said that there are some concerns with Taylor's oxygen level and his heart. They think it's due to a heart murmur (which is a hole in the heart). He's had a little bit of blood come up when they clean out his lungs, throat and mouth. We went over this morning to talk to doc directly. He said there are several things we can do. The first is to just wait and see if it heals on it's own. Of course, we would have to balance his breathing with that and make sure that was ok as well. The second, would be to give him medication. The medication has several side effects, one that would affect his kidney's temporarily (not sure we want to be messing with his kidneys at this point). Also, the meds only work 60% of the time. The third, would be surgery. They would go into his side closest to the heart and repair the hole. Laynie had a heart murmur as well, but it has healed on it's own. With Taylor being so small and having other issues he's trying to fight, it may not heal on it's own. We can only wait. The cardiologist is coming on Monday to discuss options with us.

As far as his intestines go, I think I posted yesterday that both tubes were out. Only 1 is out and the other they took the stitches out and now they are waiting for the tube to fall out on it's own. They don't want to pull it out. We believe the X-ray is still scheduled for tomorrow. We should know more this afternoon.

Laynie is doing wonderful. No worries regarding her. We are very blessed to only have 1 sick child at this point. I don't think we'd be able to emotionally handle 2 being sick. Please continue your prayers for our babies and especially for Taylor. He's strong and we know he will pull through this with God's helping hand.

Also, at this point we are going to slow down on visitors. Josh and I really need our rest and so do the babies. Emotions are high right now, especially for me. Please be patient with us during this time. Soon enough we'll be inviting people again.

One last thing, I no longer have access to my comcast email. Not sure what's wrong. I'm going to try and set-up a yahoo account later today. I will let you know the address as soon as I can.

Love,
Josh and Ang

Josh & Angie, The pictures of both the babies and all of you are so precious. We are so thrilled that Laynie continues to grow and be so healthy, and that you two are able to hold her and bond on a regular basis. We will continue to pray for the complete healing of Taylor's little intestines, heart, and breathing. We also pray for continued physical and emotional strength for you, Josh and Angie, in managing the ups and downs of the roller coaster ride you have been on for the last few weeks. We are so proud of you both and know your strong faith will continue to sustain you.
All our love,
Mike and Lynn
